Privacy Policy

Competitive Physics is an interactive physics education project run by Dr. Tejaswi Katravulapally, published under the Geeta·Physics family. When this policy says "we," "us" or "the site," it means this project. You can reach us any time at connect@geetaphysics.com.

The labs run entirely in your browser. We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment details, or any account information, because there are no accounts.

The only information stored while you learn is kept locally on your own device using your browser's local storage:

• Your progress through a module and which sections you've opened;
• Answers you select in warm-ups and exam-bank questions;
• Simulation settings and the current position of any video or animation, so you can pick up where you left off;
• Small display preferences (for example, a panel you've collapsed).

This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us. You can erase all of it at any time by clearing your browser's site data (see Your choices).

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The site uses your browser's local storage purely for the learning features described above — remembering your progress and preferences. These are functional and stay on your device; they are not used to follow you around the web.

To keep the site fast and useful, a few pages load resources from, or link out to, other services. When you interact with these, their own privacy policies apply:

This site is made for students, including those under 18. Because we collect no personal information and require no account, a student can use the labs without ever submitting identifying data. If you are a parent or guardian and have any concern about your child's use of the site, please contact us and we'll help.

Because everything is stored on your own device, you're in full control:

• Clear your progress at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings, or by using private/incognito mode.
• Block resources such as web fonts using your browser or an extension — the labs will still work, though they may look plainer.
• Ask us anything about your data by emailing connect@geetaphysics.com.

The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Since we don't run accounts or hold a database of personal information, there is simply no store of your data for anyone to breach. The learning data on your device is protected by your own browser and operating system.

As the site grows we may update this policy — for example, if we add a new feature. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be made clear. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
