I was watching the movie Kesari, and reminded me of GANDHI and other patriotic movies. So inspired to write something on the great soldiers in ARMY. Its an impulsive write.
Soldier, Oh my dear soldier!
You struggle on the borders of death, while
We struggle on the shores of life
You weigh the country on your shoulders, while
We weigh an ants bite, as a life’s boulder
You shower in the storm of bullet-rain, while
We look to increase the brain-drain
Every tick of the clock strengthens you, while
Every hearing of the gun-shot spikes the beat in you
We all hail a sports men or actors, while
We forget you are behind the shout of ours
Many a sacrifice you make, while
Many a time we spend in your inaudible take
Protecting one’s country is not a job, but a PRIDE
Playing hide and seek with death, is not a job, but a CAUSE
Taking hits for someone else, is not a job, but a SACRIFICE
We all want war, but we don’t want to fight
We all want to be safe, but we won’t rebuild
We all want to blame, but can’t accept responsibility
We all flee our mother-land, but never comeback to serve
I want to learn from you, to be strong
I want to learn from you, to serve
I want to learn from you, to not flee in danger
I want to learn from you, to heed not to fear
May you all be supported by your believes
May you all be protected by the hearts of your country!
